About EAA Chapter 72 | Pikes Peak Region

EAA Chapter 72

Bruce McCombs Chapter â€ĸ Pikes Peak Region

We are a passionate community of builders, pilots, and aviation enthusiasts dedicated to experimental aircraft building, vibrant local events, and — most importantly — inspiring the next generation through hands-on youth aviation programs.

Based at Meadow Lake Airport (KFLY) in Peyton, Colorado, we welcome everyone who shares our love of flight.

Our Core Focus Areas

Everything we do supports experimental aircraft builders, strengthens our aviation community, and advances youth programming in the Pikes Peak Region.

CORE FOCUS

Experimental Aircraft Building

We support homebuilders with our Tool Crib lending library, technical workshops, build nights, and a welcoming forum for sharing knowledge and experience.

From first-time builders to seasoned veterans — you're home here.
👨‍👩‍👧
CORE MISSION

Youth Aviation Programs

Our Young Eagles rallies, flight simulator sessions, school outreach, and chapter scholarships introduce young people to the magic of flight and create pathways into aviation careers.

One of our most important missions — building tomorrow's aviators today.
📅
COMMUNITY

Community Events & Fly-Ins

Pancake Breakfast Fly-Ins, social gatherings, and special events at Meadow Lake Airport bring pilots, builders, and families together to celebrate aviation and support our chapter's programs.

Great food, great company, and great airplanes.
📘
EDUCATION

Education & Knowledge Sharing

Monthly IMC/VMC Club meetings, technical seminars, builder forums, and our chapter newsletter keep members current, connected, and continuously learning.

Knowledge shared is safety multiplied.
