EAA Chapter 72 Meetings
Chapter meetings are scheduled the 3rd Tuesday evening except the winter months November - February, when we move to Saturday morning. Unless otherwise notified, all meetings will be at the MLAA Hangar (map). Below is information about some of our past meetings. We did videotape a few of our program and those are year also. Suggestions are welcome for programs that you might be interested in.

February 2012 - A good conversation with DAR, Joe Jordan. If you have any questions, you can call Joe at (719) 495-0887.

January 2012 - Dr. Quaye Snyder's Wings program on the "Ageing Aviator" had been greately anticipated. He spoke to a full house. His full presentation is available for your referral.

March 2011 - We celebrated 49 years since the chapter was formed with a traditional spaghetti dinner. It was great to reminisce about the early days with Bruce McCombs (right), there from day one, and Larry Dale who came along not much later. We are so fortunate to have these men still active in our chapter.

February 2011 - Matt Springer, Precision Repair Works, led us through discussion about

  • how to repair scratches and hazing on plexiglass
  • how to recreate the structure, serviceability, and color of some interior components
  • described what products to use when
  • introduced SEM Aerospace, FAA approved products

Jim Pritchett, a certified 3M representative with 30 years auto body experience and employed by Dale's Paint Supply, assisted Matt. Photos

Both men are available to help with if you have questions, need advise, or need an estimate on a particular job. Business cards

January 2011 - Burrall Sanders, Free Flight Composites, described some of the engine installations focusing on:

  • some of the cowl modificatios required to accommodate the engine
  • newer products and technology available
